Values

It’s easy to publish a long list of aspirational values, but at Edson we are very clear about what makes us feel different and what drives our culture – and it comes down to just three real values that everyone here lives by and considers completely embedded in how we operate.

We are Straight-talking, honest and transparent: we tell you the way it is – whether about a business process, SAP technology, organisational matters or project activities

We are Objective, independent and focused on what you’ve asked us to address – not on trying to convince you to buy more. And if you should ask us to do something we aren’t skilled in, we’ll say so

We seek to be your Trusted advisor – over many years: this is how many clients regard us, working with them long-term, acting on their side, a safe pair of hands, their expert friend. We get to understand what makes them tick, what their culture is – and they get to build confidence in the way we work and what we do

Charitable Activity

Cancer Research UK Charity Walk – The West Highland Way

Our MD and his wife (Chris and Julia) are taking on a formidable hike to raise money for this important cause. Stretching for 100 miles from the edge of Glasgow to Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis, this walk also includes 10,351’ of ascent.

The desire to do this was prompted by the loss of friends and family to cancer – something that too many of us have experienced. Any donations you can make will help Cancer Research work towards finding a cure. Please just click here for details on the secure JustGiving page.

Prince’s Trust

It’s not all just about business though – we recognise our responsibility to contribute more widely. We have been raising funds for The Prince’s Trust for many years, initially with a customer in a joint fund-raiser and now through our own fundraising events and team nights.

The Prince’s Trust helps 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to transform their lives. More than three in four will achieve greatness, moving into jobs, education and training. Many of the young people helped are in, or leaving, care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health issues, or have been in trouble with the law.

Cancer Research

Cancer Research UK exists to reduce the number of deaths from cancer. It is the world’s largest independent cancer research charity, carrying out research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease.

Edson Consulting has worked closely with Cancer Research UK since 2014 as a company we were affected directly by cancer in 2014 when we lost a very important employee to cancer very suddenly.  We choose Cancer Research UK as a charity because they are working on finding cures and preventing cancer. They have an excellent track record in reducing the number of cancer cases and so improving lives.

We hold a number of events each year to raise funds for Cancer Research and strongly encourage all members of our team to participate and to contribute.

Our founders hold a sponsored long distance walk each year with all proceeds going to charity, we also hold sporting events and support our customer charity events.

Below are just a few images from our charity events.
